7 step checklist

Our vision is to encounter the fullness of God through revelation, and transformation. Connect groups are very much a part of this vision and below are the 7 things that each connect group should be doing or striving to do!
Build Community
Unification of the body is ESSENTIAL to preparing the Saints to spread the Gospel. Our groups should be bringing peoples lives together for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Be a safe and vulnerable space
Things that are shared in your groups need to stay in your groups. Cultivating a space of confession and openness will lead to healing, forgiveness, and repentance.
Solid Biblical Teaching
Scripture is our ultimate authority, but It has to be translated correctly. We have a responsibility to each other to put in the time and effort to ensure proper teaching is occurring. Meaning it needs to be Biblically based, accurate, consistent, and supported by Scripture.
Intentional and Beneficial
Teaching needs to be done with thought and prayer, and needs to be relevant to those recieving the teaching. A good teaching is okay but if it wasn't inspired by the spirit or isn't bearing fruit then we need to re-eveluate the teaching.
Constantly Developing
Healthy things grow, and growing things change! If we are following the Spirit he will lead us into new ideas/practices we can and should implement in our groups.
Constantly Growing
Healthy things grow, and growing things change! Groups should be growing in many ways: number of attenders, depth of discussion, knowledge in the word, and real world application are some of the ways that we expect to see grow in our groups
Support for Ministry
Ministry needs to happen in our groups, and ministry needs to happen because of our groups. Attendees should be receiving ministry and then be empowered to go out and do ministry.

EVents

WE ARE ASKING THAT ALL CONNECT GROUPS PLAN A THEME AND 4 TRUNKS TO GO ALONG WITH SAID THEME. THEMES NEED TO BE BIBLE BASED AND YOUR TRUNKS WOULD HOPEFULLY BE ABLE TO TELL SOME SORT OF STORY BASED ON WHAT YOU PICKED FROM SCRIPTURE. THE TRUNKS NEED TO BE WELL DECORATED AND HAVE ONE ACTIVITY PER TRUNK 
EX: FIRST TRUNK IS A HANDOUT PERTAINING TO THE BIBLE STORY, SECOND TRUNK IS A GAME, THIRD TRUNK IS A STAMP, FOURTH TRUNK YOU HAND OUT CANDY

THIS IS HAPPENING OCTOBER 25TH IN OUR PARKING LOT FROM 4:00 - 6:00. FOR FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE REACH OUT TO ANDREW BALFOUR.. 
YOUR CONNECT GROUP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR 1 TAILGATE LOCATED IN OUR PARKING LOT THE DAY OF THE EVENT. YOUR TAILGATE WILL NEED TO COOK OR BRING ENOUGH FOOD FOR YOUR GROUP AND TO SHARE WITH OTHERS THAT ARE NOT YET CONNECTED TO A GROUP. VEHICLES NEED TO BE IN PLACE BEFORE 8:30 AM THAT MORNING SO WE CAN APPROPRIATELY MANAGE OUR PARKING LOT.
